Do It
Do it and Do it and Do it
Today, I want to share a speech made by Art Williams called, “Do it.” For me, this speech was a lot of fun to listen to. His voice is honest and to the point. His southern accent gives this speech more colour and flavor. He doesn’t look like a person that’s really smart and intelligent, but he showed true wisdom, sheer determination and enough smarts to get the job done.
He starts this speech with the rules for winning which is made up of 12 different points. I thought these points were quite important and I took some notes. This takes up about 15 minutes of the 20 minute speech.
The main focus of this speech is in the final 5 minutes. He first talks about how vital leadership is and that it is needed for winning. Then he strikes a chord with me about how winners simply “do it”. All winners ”just do it.” I really enjoyed how he says to “do it” for any sort of work or obstacle to overcome. It is so simple and profound.
I wondered if Nike got “Just do it” from Art Williams or the other way around!
For the past few days I watched and listened to this speech over and over. It was something that brought my spirits up and gave me motivation to work on the things that are important to me.
I decided to upload two versions of this speech. The first video is the complete speech.
If you don’t have time and want to get to the point, the second speech shows the meat of it where he goes about his “butt’s always burnin’” and he keeps saying to “do it” for whatever things a person wants to get done. Enjoy!
Things to Consider for Today:
“The winners DO IT and DO IT and DO IT until the job gets done. And then they talk about how great it is to finally achieve something unique and how glad they are they didn’t quit like anybody else and how wonderful it is to finally be somebody they’re proud of and make a difference with their lives.”

Thank you Mr. Williams!
