Mart after Department Store after Mart after Mart
“Shopping” in Four Different Places
On Halloween Day after church, there was some shopping to do. More specifically, going to customer service about some products I purchased and exchanging others. Oh yeah, there was some shopping to do as well.
Costco
The first place I went to with my family was Costco at Youngdeungpo. Everyone in North America knows this place and I’ll say going to a Costco in Korea is very similar to ones in Canada. Sure there are some differences here and there, but the look and feel is pretty much the same. At the food court, you can get your hotdog and drink or slice of pizza here. It’s funny how I come here to experience things at home!
The product in question was this navigation unit I purchased. I found out that they are going to have a sale via coupon and felt buyer’s remorse of getting it “too soon.” Thankfully there was a solution to this and in a few weeks I can get it resolved. Hopefully there won’t be a problem when I go there.
Unfortunately, they tagged one of the items I purchased two times! That means I may have to go back there sooner than I thought…
Lotte Department Store
The second place we went to was Lotte Department Store at Boramae. Unlike Costco, the products sold here are at a premium. You can find very expensive items from MCM to Louis Vuitton in the hundred of thousands to millions of won.
This was just a simple exchange of shirts. The size I had was a little tight. We then moved on to our next destination.
E-Mart
Next up was E-Mart in Guro. I was hoping to find a certain product to replace the current one I had. Unfortunately (or fortunately??) they didn’t have that product available there and we moved on to our final mart…
Lotte Mart
The final place we went to shop was Lotte Mart in Guro. We went here to check out some bicycles. Da Boy passed his bicycle test on Saturday, so we wanted to see the bicycles available there. After hearing some good advice from one of the salespeople, Da Missus and I decided to hold off from buying and spend time teaching Da Boy to ride a bicycle with two wheels( Maybe we can do this on a weekend.) We ended up buying some beverages here.
I Think this is a Record
I don’t think I went to this many marts in a single day! I should of taken some photos or something, but I wasn’t thinking too much about it. Anyways, it was fun (I like shopping) and we took it easy for the rest of the evening.
