Overwhelmed

The End of October

With the final week of October coming to a close, I feel a sense of relief. Soon it will be the beginning of a November. That means I can start anew. Sort of. Now, I could begin with a fresh start anytime, but seeing this helps me to mentally think it’s time to restart.

It’s the Same Story – Hectic

This month has been a whirlwind of sorts. A couple small changes here and there along with some decisions made has affected me in a variety of ways. The changes has been good, but has put me in a position where everything is nothing but a simple step by step process. Life has become complicated and overwhelming.

The Root of the Problem – A Lack of Sleep

The biggest problem this month was sleep. I think this has been the biggest issue of my life. I’ve tackled a various number of things and found ways to deal with them, but this is the one thing I have not completely solved. My inconsistent sleep patterns have prevented me to concentrate optimally and forced me to do some things on autopilot, thus creating compromises.

I hate compromises.

With that being said, I need to start tonight and set a solid block of time to sleep. Most importantly, I need to keep this way, period. If I have to start somewhere to get my life in order, I will have to start with that. This will probably mess up my productivity, but that’s already going out of whack and it’s at a point where I can’t continue this pace any longer.

Things to Consider Today:

  • Sleep is important.
  • Get enough sleep on a consistent basis so you can concentrate better.
  • Stay on course with your goals.
  • Even 5 to 10 minutes of working towards your goals is better than none.
  • Put your thoughts on paper and act on them.
  • It’s not as bad as you think.
  • It’s all in your mind.
  • Push that meaty android man!  :)
