Waking Up
Whoa. This is too long of a gap. And I have some stories to tell in time…
Stopping and Starting
It’s funny when you stop once, you get the temptation thinking you can start back up immediately without any problems.
But that’s not how momentum works. And that’s also how habits don’t work either.
Habits are quite wonderful in the fact that you don’t need to make an effort to get whatever work or thing done. I know writing a daily blog entry isn’t a habit (yet) since it’s something I need to make a consisent effort on.
I realized that when I thought about a Dave Sim interview I read once when he was working on twilight issues of Cerebus. There was like a certain age (in his forties I think) where he was slowing down and he couldn’t figure out why he had this problem. He tried to do things to maintain his schedule of completing 300 issues.
Thank goodness he wasn’t alone. He had Gerhard with him to get things done. I’m not sure if he helped Dave in terms of motivation, but having a partner in crime must of helped him to get over the lack of productivity.
In Relation to Cyper
In my case, this blog is pretty much written by me with an occasional story from Matt. Now I know how important it is to have some accountable to get through the times where nothing seems to be going the way you like. The question is who?
Doing Too Little and Too Much is unhealthy and Breeds Inconsistency
Not having enough vitamins will make you sick where you could have scurvy from a lack of vitamin C skin problems from a lack of vitamin D. Too much iron in the blood can cause death.
There was times where I was writing articles continuously and thought I should get out my ideas when I’m in the flow. That’s not a bad idea, but I think it’s better to have the same consistency throughout one’s life. If I could be produce massively each day, that would be even better. At least a minimum is needed and done.
Those Comments Help!
The little things said in Cyper aren’t being passed by. Please believe me when I say I do read them. Right now there isn’t too many, but when it gets a little busy on occasion, I read them and add my thoughts where it’s appropriate.
With that being said, people that have read this blog up to now, thank you. Matt, Mike and TIE, thanks for your comments and critique. I’m on my feet now. Now it’s time to move forward…
Things to Consider for Today:
-
A little done each day is progress.
-
Glance at the negatives and learn from them.
-
Change what is needed to become better.
-
Look at the positives and focus on them.

Great post, thanks for writing again.
