Welcoming 2011

The New Year has Arrived
My holiday actually started a little early on Thursday evening, so this is my second day off out of three days.
New year resolutions have been made and I hope to keep them this year.
Among the things I want to do:
-
Exercise three times a week.
-
Draw an hour each day.
-
Make my entries in Cyper daily.
-
Build a business on the Internet.
-
Work on 1 moderate project per month.
-
Keep track of my classes.
Well that’s all I can think of at this time. More as it goes.
Changes to Cyper
While there are some things I like about the blog, it’s still quite raw and undefined. Within the topics I like to work on which is art, life and learning, I need to break them down and show them in some sort of rotation.
For this month, I’ll be experimenting on how I can make things more fun and interesting here. I may be changing the theme and find one that can allow me to custom change my header. That was one of the problems I had with this theme I’m using.
I’ll also be changing some of the pages and make things more specific. Should I do podcasts? Hmm…. Videos? I would like to do that, but I have reservations about that. I think I’ll just end up copying someone in YouTube and that wouldn’t sit well with me. Regardless, I am going to take some chances and be creative. Period.
Anyone who is visiting this blog, I hope you can take the time to comment and help me make things here worthwhile for you.
What’s with the Drawing Above?
It’s my way to ring in the new year. I sketched it up with pen and paper, took a photo of it on my iPhone and coloured it. I then uploaded it to Flickr and put it in my post.
I really want to draw and am looking for ways to motivate myself to do so each day. Hopefully I’ll have the momentum to keep doing this even when I’m not in the best of moods.
It is a part of my life.
Things to Consider for Today:
-
What were your highlights of 2010?
-
What didn’t pan out for you in 2010?
-
What are your dreams and goals for 2011?
-
What are you going to do to be committed to that dream or goal?
-
Dream big, believe it’s possible for you do it and give it your all to make it.
Now is the time to be creative. Make sure to stay hungry, go for it and most importantly get it done the way you desire! You can’t be perfect the first time and if you are, you’ve set your standards too low. Today I got a lot of things done at home and look forward to doing more.
Make most of your day and you won’t regret it.

I love the drawing! I hope this grows into a year of illustrations, ending the year of 2011 with an ancient man, and a tired pencil.
I like your resolutions, minus the expectations: I will draw, I will excercise, I will write my blog. Putting expectations, such as how much you will do each sets you up to fail. Love yourself, accept your limits.
I still hold you to my suggestions that you hand out assignments to the cyper readers. You’re a teacher, own that in your blog. I respect your opinon and feel somewhat lost when I don’t see an update from you.

Point taken. You have to be able to love yourself when things are not going your way. I’ll be working on the assignments… the question is how?
