Making Things Difficult

The second day of writing is difficult.

Actually every day is hard.

I’m not making it easier by using the iPad to write this post.

Instead of complaining, I tell myself it’s a chance to try something new. It’s a chance to use tools I don’t usually use.

I’m going out of my comfort zone.

I’ve tried it before. It’s, for the most part, not too bad when I settle down and write.

But, at times, it is slow. Things lag when I want to move fast. My desktop or notebook is much more suited to writing.

Still, I write since my desktop would take time to load up. And my notebook is at work.

Writing for the sake of writing would eventually wear me down. A topic in hand is always crucial.

So I’d better hand some topics ready for me to go.

I wasn’t a fan of process writing: brainstorm, outline, draft, revise, edit, re-write (I really hated this) and repeat the last three steps until the final draft.

But for the long haul, I have to follow a process.

Then, of course, I have to work on my ability to tell a good story. Find my voice. Glean what I can get from the experts in the area I’m interested.

I’ve been writing for sometime. But I feel like a beginner.

Again, small steps.

Rebuild on the things I’ve learned. Maximize what I can do. Learn the mistakes. Come back again for another round.

It will make for an exciting journey.
