It’s funny how I don’t know my natural breathing rhythm.
I mean I’ve been breathing all my life, right? And I’ve done my natural breathing thousands of times, if not more than that.
I’ve never had to figure that out.
But how come I don’t know my natural breathing?
Even now, as I write this post, I’m trying to see if how I’m breathing now is natural.
I guess my breathing is natural. It’s all over the place.
I think my natural breathing can’t be done with a straight back since I have somewhat crooked naturally.
When I meditate, I make an effort to straighten my back. I figure a straight is needed for effective meditation.
Maybe that’s why I can’t figure out my breathing.
But when I lie down, my back is straight. And I can feel my natural breathing. Sort of.
Anyhow, it’s worth noting what is natural breathing to me. If my natural breathing will help me become more aware in the present time, I’ll need to know it well.
Really well. Like, naturally.
I’m still new to meditation. It may take months for me to get the hang of this.
I’ve been swimming for more than a year, and I’m still learning, refining my front crawl, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly.
I need to approach all my learning and progress in the long-term, the long-game.
Enjoy the journey. Move forward constantly. Learn the lessons of each session.
